My goal this year is to listen to 75 books. Last year I did 88. However, all of my reads this year have been meh, there’s some gems in there don’t get me wrong, but last year was so full of good reads.
For spooky season I reserved many thrillers on Libby on August 1st. Many still haven’t dropped. So I decided to listen to The Shining and now Dracula.
What else is there that is older/classic and is a good read?
I also read East of Eden earlier this summer.

That’s a pretty broad question lol. For horror Frankenstein is my suggestion
well that’s funny, since a fair share of books that have caused me to fall into a reading slump in the first place has been books that fall in the so-called ”classic category”
but if we’re talking about ones that i enjoyed I certainly enjoyed the vast majority of Balzac’s work, with Eugenie Grandet being my favourite (though I am yet to read Cousin Bette), and Shelley’s Frankenstein
why do you call them reads/ reading?
