Less of a "recommend something like X to me", more of a "I'm not sure this even exists, does anyone know something of the sort?".
Looking for a non-fiction book that explores how the mind functions when people create art (ideally with visual art in mind, but not strictly necessary). A "Thinking, Fast and Slow" kind of approach to thinking, but applied to creating art.
Some clarification to narrow the criteria: Not looking for a book on perception of art, but specifically the creation of art. Not looking for a book about creativity in general, as creation of art involves more than just creativity AND creativity has a wider scope besides art.
Thank you to everyone giving this request a consideration.
