Paradise Lost by John Milton. I mostly picked it up for context since so many books allude to it so heavily but it’s… pretty damn good honestly. It might sound silly but with stuff like epic angel battles and Jesus and Satan fighting each other with flaming swords and shit I keep wondering why this hasn’t been adapted to an anime or something.

The God of the Woods by Liz Moore
I’m only about 100 pages in but I like the scene setting so far

I’m currently reading *The Poet’s House* by Jean Thompson on my own and *Notes on an Execution* by Danya Kukafka with my partner.
I’m very early into both of them so I’m not sure if I’d recommend either of them yet but so far I’m enjoying them both. They have very different vibes so I’m finding it easy to keep the stories completely separate in my mind which is a good thing!

I saw ‘Tripods’ mentioned on this sub not long ago, and decided to give it a try… it’s a trilogy YA book reminiscent of ‘war of the worlds’… it’s fun and engaging…

Based off a recommendation from here, I reading the Dungeon Crawler Carl Series. It’s been a fun break from reading more “serious” novels. Seth McFarland is making the story a cartoon. If he does it right, could be a big hit.

James by Percival Everett is really well done.
She came by it natural about Dolly Parton. I like it.

Reading a mixture of Robert Louis Stevenson stories after finishing the main title (Jekyll and Hyde) of the collection.
Apparently the rest are not very spooky, a few stories are remarkable; however the stories written in colloquial dialectics are annoying.
