Just finished the Wheel of Time series, and boy did finishing that journey leave me with an incredible sense of despair and loneliness. Despite being recommended by a bunch of fans to go for a reread, I'm not sure I'm just ready for that yet. So, here I stand humbly before you all to request some high fantasy book suggestions.

If you’re looking for something that leans into a sense of mystery and surreal fantasy after finishing Wheel of Time, I recommend Nihilium by Calliope Seraphine. While it’s not as sprawling as WoT, it offers a deep, immersive world filled with strange, enigmatic characters and a sense of constant mystery. The story follows a protagonist who wakes up in an unfamiliar and disorienting world where reality and time are constantly shifting, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that pulls you in.
The high fantasy elements are present but with a darker, more psychological twist. It doesn’t offer the same epic scale as WoT, but if you’re looking for something that challenges your perceptions of reality and leaves you questioning what’s real, it provides a unique and gripping experience that might help fill the void left by Wheel of Time. It’s perfect if you’re after something more compact but equally intriguing and complex!
