I didn’t finish any books in September and have been in a major slump. Going through a period of grieving and not interested in anything sad/romantic/etc. I typically love thrillers or fantasy, but am open to other genres. I just want something that l can get lost in and forget about reality while I’m reading it. Preferably something on the shorter end.

Sisters of Jade, by James Downe. Fantasy with no romance!
Intensity by Dean Koontz or maybe Hyperion by Dan Simmons.
Have you read any Terry Pratchett?
If not, there are many different threads to follow in his world.
Eragon Series or Enders Game series. Throws you right into their own universes!
Shantaram, you’ll thank me later
Battle Mage by Peter Flannery
Kala by Colin Walsh
Anything by Agatha Christie. Some good ones to start with: And Then There Were None, TheMurder of Roger Ackroyd, Death on the Nile, Murder on the Orient Express
Once There Were Wolves was pretty solid on pacing and keeping my interest!
The master and margarita by Bulgakov
