So, I've been reading a lot of Warhammer 40K. And while the supermen shooting aliens scenes that happen 20 times per book are fun and all, I need something else to ground me.

I'm looking for short story collections that aren't too emotionally taxing, but still engaging and fun to read. The ideal example (which I already read) is: Someone Who Will Love You in All Your Damaged Glory by Raphael Bob-Waksberg. It's the right mix of heartfelt, emotional and quirky/silly.

Any similar suggestions? I appreciate all help 🙂

Love me some WH40K. If you stay with that universe, my namesake is probably the lightest books in it. They are surprisingly funny.

Have you read Martha Wells’s “Murderbot” books? That may fit what you’re looking for.
