I'm going to Brisbane, Australia and I would love to read a travel book or a romance book.
Could you recommend some books that describes Australia beautifully?
I haven’t read it yet, but Thornbirds by Colleen McCullough is apparently a classic.

*Down Under* by Bill Bryson is not bad. It’s a slightly pretentious take, because, well, it’s Bill Bryson, but it’s still an entertaining read.

It’s neither travel nor romance, but Picnic at Hanging Rock by Joan Lindsay has some incredibly vivid, enchanting descriptions of the natural world in Australia in the book’s first half.
