I'm familiar with Lovecraft, Algernon Blackwood, Lord Dunsany has some weird stories, and recently read Abraham Merritt's "Burn, Witch, Burn!" I'm looking for contemporary writers of Lovecraft that wrote creepy and/or weird stuff. Bonus points the works are underrated by today's audience.

Have you read Clark Ashton Smith? He’s my favorite author from the “weird” writers.
C. L. Moore? She wrote a variety of sci fi subgenres, such as space westerns, but also a little horror. [Shambleau](https://www.freesfonline.net/authors/C.%20L._Moore.html) being the story that introduced me to her writing. However, I haven’t been able to find a lot of her stories floating around, so I have not read much by her.
