I’m looking for books to read— can be standalone or series— to then watch the movie or series of. I like Romance, fantasy, thriller, horror and anything along those lines. They don’t have to be those genres. They can be cringy lol- any recs are welcome!!

If you don’t mind graphic novels then Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi is great with a movie version that is faithfully adapted and good as well.
I thought they did a good job with Hugh Howey’s “Silo” series. Looking forward to the next season.
The movie encapsulated Carl Sagan’s sci-fi **Contact** very closely. The endings differed, however, and the movie played up the romance aspect more.
In this case I recommend watching the movie first.
