Suggest a fantasy book where there are bizarre or unusual gods that are actively involved in the world.
One example would be Max Gladstone's Craft Series (where the gods have been subdued and are used as technology). Another would be The Black Iron Legacy by Gareth Hanrahan. The "Raven's Mark" trilogy by Ed McDonald would be another.
Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files series. Lots of old gods are still actively doing things out in the world.

American Gods is the first one to pop into my head. The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson, The Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, or The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss
