I love fantasy and romantasy, give me a shadow wielder any day. Working through ACOTAR and similar series I'm a little frustrated when significant characters you thought were evil have hidden soft sides and end up being completely redeemable.
I want a book where they are just bad. Give me a spooky broody guy that isn't doing what he does to save the world, its just the way he is.
