Must:
Has to be written by a woman; cannot be mystery; cannot be courtroom drama; cannot be missing girl/ woman thriller; cannot be "man saves/fixes woman"; cannot be "woman's entire purpose is becoming a wife/mom" and cannot center around a character's journey to motherhood.
Should:
Should have a woman protagonist; should avoid "it's only happily ever after because randomly she's pregnant now"; should not be fantasy or scifi. But these aren't as important.
Bonus:
It would be awesome if the main character isn't heterosexual, if the main character has no interest in becoming a mother, and if the writer realistically portrays experiencing/ living with trauma.
But mostly…i just want stories about women that aren't mysteries. Anything??

The Vegetarian by Han Kang?
If fantasy/sci-fi/speculative fiction is okay: Chlorine by Jade Song, Poppy War by RF Kuang, and Light from Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki.
