What are some books on unrequited love from adult male perspective?

Hi All,

I am looking for stories on unrequited, one-sided love from MMC perspective. Not referring to teenage crushes or infatuation etc, older age group (20s/30s etc).

Think "White Nights" by Fyodor Dostoevsky, but ideally a more contemporary setting, something that goes with our current times.

I've seen a few online but most are written from FMC perspective, I am trying to relate with my current situation and as a man in my 20s MMC perspective would be ideal.
