I'm interested in books set in hotels, ideally published before about 1980. I say 'hotels' but this includes, health spas, boarding houses, basically anything with a cross-section of people.
I've recently read: The Feast, The Post-Office Girl, A Room With a View, The Guesthouse at the Sign of the Teetering Globe; Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont; Hotel du Lac; London Belongs to Me.
I have not read The Magic Mountain, but it's on the list.
