Some of this is for my own personal enjoyment, because I’m just tired of reading books where the relationship between romantic leads leaves me flipping backward through the book and going, “Wait. Since when did they even like each other? How are they in each other’s pants right now? How are they declaring their undying love for each other? They don’t even know each other!”
The other part of it is that I’m writing a bodyguard crush-flavored, acquaintances-to-friends-to-lovers story and want to incorporate some good unresolved sexual tension and some mutual pining.
Recs can be any genre, and don’t have to fit with those specific parameters. I’m just trying to build a convincing story.
