I'm looking for a book that leaves me going 'how the hell did someone think about writing this, let alone pull it off so nicely?'
I'm thinking along the lines of 7 and a half deaths of Evelyn Hardcastyle. I just finished reading We Used To Live Here, and it was so close to being a very 'what the fuck?' type of book, but I think it fell kind of short.
I also think that Blake Crouch did it with the first Wayward pines book (and I think he put some WTF into a pretty played out concept with Dark Matter and Recursion).
