so i'm currently reading susanna kaysen's Girl, Interrupted, which im enjoying, and i just finished roadside picnic but the strugatsky brothers. prior to that was a book with four short horror stories about black cats (lovecraft, edgar allan poe, and more).
other stuff i have enjoyed recently were the neapolitan quartet (although i didn't particularly love ferrante's other works), my year of rest and relaxation, jonathan coe novels, yoko ogawa's the housekeeper and the professor, solaris, anything kafka, and some other classics (steppenwolf, the bell jar, some dostoevsky).
i wanted to read house of leaves or sacred and terrible air by rovert kurvitz but they're both pretty inaccessible (i need physical copies of books personally). i've been meaning to get into paul auster more, as well as a writer from my country whose works haven't been translated into english, but i'd definitely like to hear some suggestions from everyone!
