I love historical fiction, and I will read about any time or place in history as long as it’s an interesting and well-written novel. That’s favourite thing about the genre, is I often learn something new about a time/place while getting caught up in a story.
Two of my favourite series are the Pillars of the Earth quad and the Century Trilogy, both by Ken Follett, if that gives you an idea. I’ve also read most of Philippa Gregory’s books (The Other Boleyn Girl, etc)
Bonus if it’s a long epic or a series since I am a fast reader, but obviously not opposed to single or smaller volumes
