My little brother recently got caught up with some serious charges and is on house arrest awaiting trial. His mind is all over the place, understandably. I’m planning on taking him to the library on his free day to check out some books and get his mind on something else. He’s not a reader at all, usually fully immersed in video games, but has been completely stripped of any screen privileges. Looking for recommendations on books that are approachable yet impactful for someone in his position.
Two ideas I have so far are “Perks of Being a Wallflower” and “Beautiful Boy”. Let me know your thoughts.

Some young people who aren’t normally big readers get very into graphic novels. I can’t think of titles but some are very popular. Maybe something about super heroes? I’d even ask a librarian of which ones are popular
If you could find out what games/movies he is into I can recommend some graphic novels that align with his interests.
Have him check out Louis Lamour. He writes about the Wild West and boys becoming men. Really good easy books to read
