Hello! I work at an elementary school and I’m looking for a book for a little friend of mine – 6 year old boy in grade 1. He’s having a REALLY hard time with his new teacher as she’s quite gruff and strict and tbh, pretty rude to the kids. He’s really struggling. I would love to find a book to help build his confidence, brush off the bully statements, and help him know that her words don’t define who he is. I’m not sure I’m articulating this all correctly, but I’m hoping someone can understand the vibe I’m going for and have some recommendations. I’m trying to pop into his class as I can just to be a supportive presence, but I also have other kiddos to attend to as well. It just breaks my heart to see him struggling like this. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!! ❤️

How about reading him the [Hank Zipzer](https://app.thestorygraph.com/series/15667) books by Henry Winkler and Lin Oliver? There’s also a [prequel series](https://app.thestorygraph.com/series/17960) about the same character when he’s a bit younger, but I haven’t had a chance to read those yet, so I’m not sure if they convey the same message.
