Looking for more authors that have a Tom Robbins/Douglas Adams style of humor!

Hello! I recently read Even Cowgirls Get the Blues by Tom Robbins and I am now mildly obsessed- it was such a fun reading experience! I already am planning to check out more of his books but am curious if folks have suggestions for other authors and books in the same vein with that style of offbeat humor (filled with asides, wackiness, and characters with names like Bonanza Jellybean), especially if they include elements of magical realism or take place in the American West (though I'm open to all kinds of suggestions). I've already read The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey and I liked a lot that too. I would be extra interested in any female authors that are comedic and magical realism-y, as I feel like I haven't encountered that many yet (the closest I can think of is Orlando by Virginia Woolf, and it's not quite as silly…).
