I know the title question sounds stupid, but I have some form of crippling anxiety about these things, and even if the people around me reassure me, I don't take them seriously, since I assume they only say it to make me feel better.
But so, the problem.
Let's take out an example.
I last read volume 2 of a series in the middle of June. I also own volumes 3 and 4 (the series will have 7 volumes). All I can keep thinking about is when I last read a part of it, and how I have to read volume 3 soon enough, since it's going to be four months since I read volume 2. This causes me anxiety and makes me overall less happy.
I do love this series, but sometimes you just don't feel like reading a book, or just feel like reading another book more. This is also a thing with every ongoing series I have, though at varying levels. I want to not have it, but I really can't do anything about it at the moment.
(This also applies to taking "too long" to read a book. I know that's not a thing, but I still get anxious over it.)
I'm sorry for rambling, and this is propably the least intresting topic ever, but I needed to get it out somewhere, so why not this subreddit? And maybe my post can help someone else too, not just me.
Thank you for sticking around for so long, and I hope you have a nice rest of your day!
