I just finished tender is the flesh and I need something light hearted to ease myself. Any genre apart from fantasy is what I'm looking for ( I am an avid fantasy reader. It's just that with my most current read I don't know if I can give it a shot).

Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree (cozy fantasy)
The Stand In by Lily Chu (romance)
Ramona Blue by Julie Murphy (YA romance)
Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood (romance)
Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers (cozy mystery)
A Psalm for the Wild-built by Becky Chambers (sci-fi, just lovely)
Beat the Reaper
The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet
Greetings from Witness Protection
I hated Tender is the Flesh. I don’t eat animal products, and even I was like “okay, this is a lot.”
Someone said Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree, and I second that.
Undertaking Hart and Mercy by Megan Bannen is really sweet and fun.
Less lighthearted, (not a downer by any means, still quite fun and funny, but has more serious moments) Little Thieves by Margaret Owen.
