So my 96 year old grandmother who until this week flat out refused to go live in an retirement home unfortunatly had an accident and needs round the clock care for at least six weeks and she thinks chances are that she will stay living there. This is a hell of a transition for her and I want to help her see some positive things about it.

A few years ago I gave her a book about a group of people living in a retirement home who became a bunch of criminals, stealing paintings from galleries f.e., and got away with it because no one suspects an old lady in a wheelchair for example. She loved it and made my aunt buy her part two immediately.

So I was thinking, maybe it could help a little to get her more books like this, to remind her that she for example now has much easier access to people to hang out with, and make more friends. At the very least it will help her pass the time!

I just found out about the Thursday Murder Club series from Richard Osman and already asked my aunt if my grandmother has already read it or not.

    Does anyone have more suggestions?
She only knows Dutch, so those are welcome too, but a lot of foreign books get translated so please don't hesitate to mention them.
    Many thanks in advance! <3
