A few years ago, I started reading contemporary romance—more specifically rom-coms. I’ve devoured everything I could easily get my hands on, and now I’m on the hunt for more outstanding reads.
I’m hoping ya’ll might be able/willing to help a girl out.
What I’m specifically after:
* Light hearted contemporary romance
* Dual POV (ideally)
* 3rd person (ideally—I’ve been reading a lot of first person and would like to branch out!)
* Strong character development
What I’m NOT after:
* Heavy, emotional reads. I recently finished How to End a Love Story by Yukon Kuang. It was beautiful and as emotionally heavy as I want to go at the moment.
* Super spicy. I’m fine with some spice, but the books I have enjoyed most have typically fallen in the middle to lower range of the spice scale.
Authors whose work I have consistently loved:
* Emily Henry
* Ali Hazelwood
* Abby Jimenez
* Christina Lauren
* Evie Dunmore (100% open to more historical romance that leans toward light rather than heavy—just not sure where to start!)
I’m so appreciative of anyone willing to respond with suggestions!
