I want to go on a nostalgia trip, by reading the kinds of books I liked when I was younger. Way back when I was at the right age to appreciate YA, the dystopia and crazy romance stuff wasn't popular yet, and the big trend of the genre was troubled teens. I was a voracious reader and pretty much went through my middle schools entire YA section, but because I read so many of them, I can't actually remember any individual ones, so I seek your guidance dear reddit.
Drugs, bullying, eating disorders, family troubles, mental illness, as long as it's about a teenager experiencing problems 12 year old me would have ate it up.
