I just read Conclave by Robert Harris and loved a) how much detail it contained about the inner workings of a papal conclave and b) how much respect and even reverence the book held for the faith of the characters.
In a similar vein, I also loved The Beautiful Mystery in the Armand Gamache series (set in a secluded monastery).
Does anyone have book recommendations that might fit in this category? I’m not necessarily looking for books focused on Catholicism, but any locked-room mystery or thriller focusing on an insular faith community.
