There’s something I find very off-putting about an article that puports to be able to tell me everything I ‘need’ to know.

It’s interesting but I find disappointing that you do not mention right-wing war on books as a part of a greater book banning movement, which is equally due to right-wing and left-wing activists (and maybe more?)

just thought I’d mention: calling it a “war on books” is like calling wanting people to be treated respectfully a “war on free speech”

It’s ridiculous calling these books pornography at a time period when we are awash in the ability to access more actual porn then has ever existed at the stroke of a few keys. I’m sure these conservatives leaders are very familiar and knowledgeable about this porn from their daily viewing habits. Yet, with a library book you need a card and to physically check it out to access it and you’re never going to “accidentally” stumble upon any of it. “Oh No! I was reaching for my copy of Guns & Ammo magazine and Gender Queer fell open and I inadvertently read some and saw some pictures! Perhaps I’ll turn Queer, what ever will I do?”

Thanks for the link, not going to read it since it’s nothing new, but the part of me that loves to wallow in the drama slop is enjoying the insane conservatives who’ve showed up to vomit their garbage ideology into the thread.

Makes sense that the Handmaid’s Tale is on that list. Else these kids might catch on to what the Right Wingers are doing

Some of these comments make me concerned for supposed readers’ reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. 😬
