I’m looking to read more books this year/next year. I’m trying to diversify my reading taste as well. Here are some books that have recently stunned me, made me ugly cry, made me laugh out loud. Any others you’d recommend?
I who have never known men- Jacqueline Harpman : dystopian, bleak, women helping women
This is how you lose the time war- Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone: romantic and poetic, unique storytelling structure.
Project Hail Mary- Andy weir: funny, heart warming, science fiction
Cloud Cuckoo Land- Anthony Doerr- love the storyline about the preservation of books, and the connective thread through the past/present/future
Circe- Madeline miller: isolation as a woman. Being stronger through strife.
Nightcrawling- Leila Mottley: heartbreaking but absolutely beautiful
