Don’t get me wrong—Ana Huang’s books aren’t bad by any means, but they’ve become a little too predictable for my taste. Her most popular series, The Twisted Series, might have a huge fanbase, but let’s be real: all the books follow the same formula. Different characters, a few twists here and there, but the core storyline remains the same.
It’s the classic, overused trope of emotionally unavailable love interests with baggage, and after a while, it just starts to feel repetitive. Yes, the books can be fun and easy to read, but they don’t offer anything new to the genre.
Ana Huang certainly has her place in the world of contemporary romance, but if you’re looking for something fresh and original, her works might not live up to the hype.
