Hey, can someone recommend me a romance focused book that keeps you on your toes through the entire read, does not make you lose interest because you cannot see where the plot is going, and the ending is enough to make the most hardened shed a tear? I do not care if it is a sad or happy or gray in ending as long as it is totally worth the time and makes you feel comfortable and excited when the time for reading it arrives every day.
No spoiler please, just recommend the book and I will check out the most upvoted ones.

P.S. No modern stuff and sci-fi, the older and more nostalgic and tickling my imagination the better.
