After nearly a year of not being able to enjoy or finish a single book I started, I just completed Isabel Allende's House of Spirits trilogy and could not put it down. Now I am at a loss of what to possibly read next that would be of similar vein.
I really enjoy historical type fiction, any periods of time before electricity to be specific, revolving around strong female characters. I also enjoyed The Outlander Series, The Clan of the Cave Bear (well, most of it), Anna Waldo's Sacajewea, Margaret George's Helen of Troy, Michael Faber's The Crimson Petal and the White, and Anya Seton's The Turquoise, to name a few.
I struggle with Goodreads. Please please help me, I know my request is a bit particular, but I have faith there are more books like this out there I just haven't heard of yet. The lengthier the better, series especially!
