    1. Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green doesn’t go into extreme depth of any one subject, but it is an extremely entertaining look into several areas of history, technology, and society. Personal perspective is often provided but not in a way that leads to bias. Highly recommend!

    2. Sapiens by Yuval Harari and Black Pill by Elle Reeve are two great ones. One, as the title suggests, is a very wide-lens look at humanity. The other is a very focused look at humanity. Both are great. Black Pill is a little more topical…and a lot funnier and easier to read 🙂

    3. The Company by Stephen R Bown has all of the above.

It’s the story of The Hudson Bay company and the Canadian fur trade. Really interesting read.
