Have you ever read a book that helped you through unfavourable times? Going through a not so fun period of my life right now and I know it will get better and I can power through this, but I just really need to find ways to be happy regardless of my circumstances and to find joy in a way that nobody can take from me. I just thought it would be cool if there was a book that could help me in that way. Like a book about a character who figures out how to be at peace in shitty circumstances or even a good nonfiction book that ACTUALLY helped you. Thanks!

It’s short and it’s absolutely beautiful, you can pick it up whenever you need it in those tough patches and there should be something there to speak to you.

The Midnight Library is not really my style of book, but was recommended by a friend during a time of errrr, let’s say uncertainty and dis-ease with my situation. Absolutely would recommend if you want to feel more at peace with life’s challenges/disappointments!!

    3. This might sound strange, but “14,000 Things to Be Happy About” When I was at the height of my high anxiety in my teens and 20s, that simple book taught me about appreciating the joy in the little things. It’s a way of thinking that has stuck with me until this day.

    4. Honestly, Brene Brown writes such palatable self-help content that I’d start there if that’s the vibe you’re looking for.

Am currently reading “Reasons to stay alive” by Matt Haig . I think it’s a great book u should read it. Also try “The Subtle Art of not giving a fck” by Mark Manson.

This is an odd one I know but Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse. I read that in high school when I was dealing with some stuff. It made me realize I wasn’t the only person who struggled with their mental health. Just knowing that I wasn’t alone made me a better healthier person.
