I’ve got a newborn and two toddlers. I’m tired and often overstimulated. I recently decided to get back into reading. I used to read a lot of fantasy, folklore, mysteries, sick lit. I’m maybe leaning towards something cozy fantasy? Not sure. I’m open to suggestions on that. I’m currently reading The Princess and The Goblin but I’m having trouble finishing it because all of a sudden I’ve discovered that the writing style is actually very annoying for me. A lot of the time I’m reading after the children are all asleep and I’ve had an exhausting day. Im finding that that book has a lot of wordy text that is hard to follow when I’m that tired. I’d love something that kind of feels like being in the Shire, very low stakes drama, but interested enough that you want to know what happens. I’m ok with YA. I haven’t read consistently in so long that my reading speed and level is probably right above a YA level. If you could suggest me a book with a little information on it, that would be very helpful. TIA
