Say your are stuck reading one series\* for the rest of your life. What and why? I have quite a few series that I reread every year/couple of years, and I’m trying to branch to even bigger worlds. (Honestly, one of the ones I could get lost in forever would be DragonLance….)
\*denotes series like Wheel of Time, or overarching world like Cosmere – can span decades or millennia, it all counts!

Gene Wolfe’s Solar Cycle. Runner up would be Tolkein.
Mercedes Lackey’s Valdemar books – light enough not to devastate me emotionally (looking at you Hobb), enough books that it can me awhile to get through them all (40+ incl. the short story collection additions by other authors) and such fun escapism.
Realm of the Elderlings for me Wandering Inn a close second cause it’s gonna be so ridiculously long by the time it’s done haha
Malazan Books of the Fallen probably. I would like to think I’m like Quick Ben, in that I can prank my way into magical ability. Or Beak, in that being autistic would give me a huge leg-up in being magically proficient. You want to see me burning my candles, bro? No one ever wants to see me burning my candles.
Either David Mitchell’s books involving Horology for its mix of literary style and fantasy or Stephen Kings Dark Tower Universe because it’s awesome and includes at least 30 books/novellas/short stories.
Discworld. Easy choice. Loads of books.
It would have to be the Malazan series.
