Going through a slump and wanting to get back into reading but not finding anything that calls out to me. I am open to any genres and/or translated novels, as long as I can find it in English.
Some criteria:
Single adult character(s) 25ish+: with no children, no grieving partners, no divorcees, no situationships.
– Not a must but would prefer adults
– I don’t mind if the characters later become an older siblings/parent figure
Smart characters/characters with common sense
No mary sue/gary stu
– I have grown extremely bored with characters who are already good at everything from the start, or suddenly become the best once they gain power etc.
Little to No romance
– I would prefer not to have romance but am ok with it if it’s a subplot or it doesn’t take over the story.
