Reposting bc I realized I posted this pretty late yesterday and it got a bit buried

So this one is probably a bit odd, but I just DNFed another book and thought maybe it’d be interesting to see what people would recommend to me based off my DNF list for the year. Here’s the list:

    1) Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson

    2) Meeting Millie by Clare Ashton

    3) 101 Essays That Will Change the Way You Think by Brianna Wiest

    4) Emma by Jane Austen

    5) The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab

    1. ***The Night Circus*** by Erin Morgenstern! It blends magical realism, a unique atmosphere, and complex storytelling but not as slow-paced or introspective as *The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue*. It has that mysterious, fantastical feel without dragging on or feeling too abstract. There’s a lot more tension that might make for a better read then some of these character-driven books on your list.

Another great one I loved was **The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle** by Stuart Turton. If you liked the concept of Everyone in my Family but found it kinda lacking, this story has that murder mystery with a twist of body-swapping & time loops, creating this puzzle-like narrative that keeps you locked in.

I have “Everyone in my family has killed someone” on my tbr and got a copy recently. Why was it DNF for you?
