    1. The Disabled Tyrant’s Beloved Pet Fish

I bought it for the novelty of the concept and thought I probably wouldn’t actually enjoy it or even finish it.

Now it’s my favourite book ever. I’m dying waiting for the third volume lol 😅

    2. Evasion-anonymous or Mack evasion. Zine collection by this Straightedge vegan hardcore hobo kid traveling the country stealing and dumpster diving and squatting and pretty happy with his life.

    3. Ordinary Dogs by Eileen Battersby.
I love it so much I bought several copies and gifted them to people but they are not as dog-mad as me so didn’t get it.
Eileen was the literary correspondent for the Irish Times and I just love her writing as well. The book is pretty much autobiographical.

I tend to be extremely chatty about my favourites whether people want to hear it or not, but:

The Lost Wolves of Japan by Brett L. Walker – fantastic work of ecological history that I have like zero reason to recommend most of the time.

Here is Greenwood by Yukie Nasu – one of my favourite manga, wildly out of print and nonexistent online.

Double Your Pleasure manga anthology – basically the only ecchi/hentai manga I’ve ever bothered to keep physically and look I can explain-

Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson. Nobody I know has the patience or the variegated interests required to understand how amazing this brick really is
