Hello! I recently read 'Scarlet and Ivy: The Lost Twin' by Sophie Cleverly, and really enjoyed it as a quick-paced little mystery with some solid twists. I particularly loved the historical boarding school setting, as it's just a setting I really tend to enjoy (so if you have any suggestions with said setting I'd love to hear them!).

The main character/mystery solver being a young girl really sparked nostalgia in me, as when *I* was a young girl I wanted to solve mysteries sooooo badly, haha. So I'd love any suggestions of similar books!

I am not particular about demographic, though for this specific nostalgia Middle Grade is possibly what I'm looking for?

I tried reading 'Murder Most Unladylike' and unfortunately didnt enjoy it as I really didn't like Daisy. I like when a sort of meek character has the detective spotlight, it seems!

    Thank you!

*oh also Im aware Scarlet and Ivy is a series, I will be reading on a little further, but I tend to love the first books in series most, or just stand-alone novels! I like reading about the first case, or first meeting, or first this and that.

*Flavia de Luce* series by Alan Bradley. Flavia is mostly ignored by her 1950s British aristocratic family in decline after her mother’s death and grows up curious, precocious and macabre – the perfect detective. One book takes place in boarding school.
