Have never been a big reader so don’t have the best reading skills but have read the occasional few books. Interested in sports, sci-fi, anime, music, thriller & much more general topics. I personally it hard to decide on a book in a book store. Thanks!

I don’t have a specific recommendation but I always encourage new readers to use the library. Check out a bunch of books that look interesting and since you don’t need to spend money there’s less worry about whether you will like it.
If you use ebooks or audiobooks a lot of libraries use Libby and Hoopla so you can access those.
Octavia E. Butler is obviously the sci-fi queen; I’m currently reading “Parable of the Sower” and loving it. American football player R. K. Russell’s memoir “The Yards Between Us” was a highly evocative read.
Roadkill by Dennis E Taylor
*Old Man’s War*, by John Scalzi.
Fantastic Land by Mike Bockoven is a thriller and it’s an easy book to get into. The book is written in the style of crime doc interviews that slowly expose how an insane tragedy played out at an amusement park.
