i'm currently reading a book that is so different to other ones i've read just because it touches so well on this niche. it's called "the third love" by hiromi kawakami and it has infidelity in it. the book isn't black or white or entirely sympathetic or quirky it's a fine balance where the protagonist sorta narrates what she sees (and also what she thinks and feels but mostly the "matter of fact part" is interesting).
