I'm kind of in a reading slump and I need a book that I can't put down. The lighthearted "fun" books (e.g. Discworld) don't really work for me and I don't like Agatha Christie's Poirot novels and other similar works. Anything else goes. I don't mind if it's a 10 book series or a very short novella, I'm open to recommendations from any genre

A 4 books steampuk series. Think of it as a space opera (but without space travel) with a Firefly vibe to it.
Incredibly entertaining and very well written.
