Hi everyone,
I used to love reading in my late teens, but fell out of it in my early twenties. I got back into it heavily in the fall of 2015. That’s when I started buying books like crazy, if you every month. Sometimes several, sometimes none just depending. I have probably a little over 600 books on my guestimation. I will read a little bit of everything. I have several classics, some nonfiction, and quite a bit of philosophical writings. For example like Marcus Aurelius’s Meditations. Right now I am currently reading The Count of Monte Cristo and loving it. I was always intimidated by it because it was so big, but it’s so good, and really very accessible for a classic. Some of my favorite books of all time include: Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi, The portable Dorothy Parker, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, The Little locksmith by Catherine Butler Hathaway. Just to name a few. The trouble that I’ve always had is finding favorite authors and I think it might be because I read such a wide range, I know the obvious answer which I have tried which is if I enjoy a book get some other books by the author and that has been somewhat successful. But I’m just wondering if there’s any other ways that you guys do?
