I am looking for books that are about the nazi's views about visual art, like what kinds they preferred, disliked, or banned. Books about their looting of artwork are also okay. I'm writing an essay specifically on German Romantic painting and its relationship with the nazis so books related to that are also appreciated. Thanks!

Precursors of the Nazis: Klaus Theweleit, *Male Fantasies*.
Off hand, I don’t have a specific book, but check out painter Nicholas Roerich. His works tie directly into the Nazi mysticism, quest for religious “secrets,” and art in general. That’s vague but a relatively brief inquiry would set you on a path of interest.
