So, for decades people have talked about JD Salinger’s unpublished works, the books he was supposedly writting after he left his career as a publishing author behind. When he died, there was a lot of stories circulating about alledged book deals in the works to release as much as 10 new works by him, supposedly found in his archives. Now, 13 years after his death, there has been no new material put out, just a lot of legal hustle about republishing short-stories and novellas from his youth, afaik.
My question is, is there any reliable info about the stuff he was said to be writing for the last decades of his life? Some timetable as regards that coming to light? Or was it a lot of speculation about nothing? I’m sure there must be some Salinger die-hards on this forum that are more up to date than me on this topic.
