I love book series. I can't read a single book and be happy. I love being able to move onto the next and the next for a good 4-5 books (Even better when each is 400+ pages, but I won't be too picky). When I was younger, I read every single Rick Riordan novel just because of this. I also love books that include a fantasy element, and lots of character growth with hardships. I loved reading Eragon for this. I am fine with YA, I don't mind romance as long as it doesn't get too soppy. For some ideas on what I like to read, I have compiled a list of what has already been read, and which were my favorites:

Tamora Pierce sounds like a good author for you. She writes YA fantasy in series mostly of quartets but the books build on each other so you see the same characters pop up in different series. Alanna: The First Adventure is her first published book but if you don’t mind minor spoilers, you can start with whichever series looks most interesting to you.

If you like either of these there are some follow-up books.
Malazan Book of the Fallen series by Steven Erikson. This is a little bit harder read. The author just dumps you in the middle of things with explaining things beforehand.
You could always jump into The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. 14 books plus a prequel. They range from being around 600 pages to 1000. Brandon Sanderson finished the series by writing the last 3 (I think) after Jordan died.
Also The Aurelian Cycle series by Rosaria Munda which is only three books in the 400-500 page range. It is a phenomenal series though.
I liked the first 3 books of Anne rice’s vampire chronicles although I am not a fan of the genre at all. Very well written.
You might enjoy the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire. It’s like PJO but with Fae and some Celtic mythology. The series gets better with each book and the characters are all great.

A 26 volume (each book being like 250-400 pages) series dealing with immense character growth is mushoku tensei(light novels). It’s long and has a lot of books, but imo the pacing is brilliant, it has incredible character development of the main character going from a horrible 34 year old NEET and incel to a very respectable person, it’s reincarnation into a fantasy world and about taking a second chance at life seriously and so has fantasy too. One issue is it portrays everything wrong with his party line and takes it time with character development like real life, but most people decide to hate him before he fully changes into a great person. Sorry this was so long, and I hope you give it a go (btw it does deal with A LOT of mature and sensitive issues, and u think it did it really well)
