I'm nearly 30 years late to the party but have just started watching the Buffy TV series and love the self-aware, campy humour. I'm also craving this in a horror novel.
Not interested in YA, prefer women, queer and non-binary authors/MCs. I read and liked Patricia Wants to Cuddle and My Best Friend's Exorcism but they didn't completely hit it out of the park for me. I'm looking for a real banger!
TLDR: Suggest me an adult horror book that has the self-aware, campy humour of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Do you do audio? If so there is Slayers set in Buffyverse with a lot of the original actors (Tara, Spike, Cornelia). It was a fun and nostalgic listen.
