Hey guys! I've recently gotten back into reading, and I'm looking for some romantasy (or just fantasy) recs to help me narrow down a TBR. Prefer low-to-medium spice, and open to MM and MW
Some things I like:
- smart & morally grey characters
- high fantasy, complex magic systems (can be either urban or period)
- plot driven
- love interests that actually like each other
- power dynamics
- friends to lovers
- realism
Some things I do not like:
- fae, werewolves, vampires etc
- Red Flag/morally black love "love interests"
- enemies to lovers (though this depends on how evil/awful the love interest is lol)
- sci-fi
- corny/cheesy banter & dialogue
For reference, I've recently read Zodiac Academy 1-4 (entertaining slop, will not continue) and the Legacy Series (I had fun!). I also mainly read on Kindle Unlimited, so anything on there is +++
