I desperately want to find good romance novels but whenever I do research I just find a lot of those books of “super hot guy” romance if you know what I’m talking about. I really want more romance books that are sort of quieter or cuter or almost more loving if that makes sense. I’ve really liked Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns by John Green before, with Looking for Alaska probably being my favorite. I tried the Heartstopper books but it wasn’t my favorite. Just anything you think sounds like something I would appreciate any recommendations.

Have you read any of Emily Henry’s books? I feel like those are nice and funny romances.
The Palladian series by TK Kingfisher. Romance and cuteness and older character so not teens or early 20s. Paladins Grace is my personal fave but the first three all very good. The fourth is up for some debate.

I think you’d love Rainbow Rowell books! Check out Eleanor & Park 🫶🏼 or Abby Jimenez is my fave romance writer because her writing is actually really solid and not corny/super tropey/poorly written lol.
Have you read The Perks of Being a Wallflower or Normal People? Not your typical romances but very very good and heartwarming.
